Dr. K P Balakrishnan is an Interventional Cardiologist in Kozhikode, Kerala.  He is one of the pioneers of Interventional Cardiology in North Malabar. Dr. Balakrishnan's expertise and experience covers the entire range of Interventional Cardiology procedures, including Coronary Angioplasty, Renal Angioplasty and Peripheral Angioplasty.

Currently, Dr. K P Balakrishnan heads the Department of Coronary and Endovascular Interventions at PVS Hospital, Calicut. He is also Head of the Department and Senior Consultant Cardiologist at DM Wayanad Institute of Medical Sciences, Wayanad.

Dr. Balakrishnan holds an MD postgraduate degree and a post-doctoral DM superspeciality degree. He is also a Fellow of the Indian College of Cardiology.
